My Story

“I MARRIED A MORTGAGE BROKER!!!”. Thirty plus years ago, I never imagined I was destined to become a pastor’s wife. It has been a wild ride with many ups, downs, and upside down loop-de-loops. A couple kids, several careers, and many hobbies later – and the pastor’s wife title seems to be one that sticks.

Over the years, I have “threatened” my husband with a “tell-all” book titled Confessions of a Reluctant Pastor’s Wife. Slowly the book has evolved into a blog and now this website. I hope you find some laughter, maybe a few tears, a little encouragement and inspiration, and most of all, the astounding nature of God as He has and continues to work in our lives.

In The Spirit

This website, the pictures and blogs are more than just that. I want to communicate God’s amazing expression of who He is and what He has created. I seek God’s message or scripture that is revealed by the subject of the picture. I am always blessed by what He reveals. I hope you are too.

I am more of an introvert by nature. I’ve always been drawn to animals and the outdoors. To capture these dramatic slices of time, I head out with an open slate and my camera. I ask God to show me what He wants me to see. I never know what I’m going to see. I frequently will sit in one spot for hours waiting for the animal, bird, or insect to arrive or to simply catch a compelling shot. The time spent waiting is filled with conversation between me and the Lord. I believe the end product you encounter on this website is much more than a simple photo—it’s more of a moment in prayer expressed in the drama of the picture.
