Chaos to Order?

Then God said, “let the water swarm with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” God blessed them: “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the waters of the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth.” Gen 1:20-21. I now look at creation and wonder how anyone can look at the heavens and earth and conclude that random processes are responsible for the beauty and order around us. Even physics supports the existence of a creator and a continuing force that holds the universe together. I am not a physicist, but as I recall, the laws of physics define the universal movement of the physical world towards chaos, not order. Also, it takes direct work/energy to maintain and hold a system together. How can we say for the first few billion years these laws reversed randomly? Some rather crude example are our vehicles and houses. They are rather simplistic systems compared to even a single-cell organism. Think about the work that must occur to keep a vehicle going or a house clean (not to mention maintained) – otherwise chaos reigns.

There are probably many scientists that would wince at my basic understanding and examples. But science, as it advances, points more and more to God rather than away.
